Despite valiant efforts on all fronts spam is still the bane of the web it seems. Recent figures lead us to believe that a whopping 70% of all e-mail traffic on the web is spam.
So, why is this? Why haven't the spam laws stemmed the tide? Well, it seems that your friendly, neighbourhood spammers have got the one up on the legal eagles and have adapted quite nicely to the whole scenario, they even claim in some instances that the spam laws actually legitimise their work.
The spam patrol has warned us to expect another 10% increase in the spam tide by the middle of the year - that being merely weeks away we're battening down the hatches and barring the inboxes already.
