As ATI finally releases its 2000 series of GPU's, Nvidia has already trumped them at the starting line, even with its forward looking architecture.
Even its flagship model, the 2900XT HD fails to keep up with Nvidia's Mid to High-end models.
However, ATI has adopted the strategy of going down the path of 'value for money' in order to stay afloat, with prices for the top model floating at around £250.
So, cutting to the chase: Does it keep up with Nvidia? No. Does it offer bang for your buck? Oh yes.
An apt quote sums it up: "Worth £250 of your money, yes. As fast as we had hoped for, absolutely not."
